HJAM Scholarship for Further Education

The Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to offer the HJAM Scholarship for Further Education. This annual award of up to $3,000.00 is designed to support students attending community college, university, graduate school, trade school, or professional school.

While eligible candidates may apply every year, the scholarship can only be awarded to an individual once.

Eligibility Requirements

Enrollment: Accepted to or currently enrolled in a college, university, graduate school, or trade school for Fall 2026.
Residency: Must be a US Citizen or Legal Resident.
Membership: Minimum of two consecutive years of HJAM membership, including the current year.
Performance: A 3.0 GPA (or higher) on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent employment history if a recent academic transcript is unavailable.

Application Requirements

Completed Application Form.
Records: Your current academic record or equivalent employment history.
Personal Statement: A statement of your equine background and plans for further education.
Essay: "How have horses and my involvement with HJAM helped shape my journey through life?".
Three Letters of Recommendation from horse industry professionals, educators, and personal references.

Important Note: Applications will be denied if it is discovered that any AI tools were used to write the essay.

Important Dates & Deadlines

Applications Open: January 1.
Applications Close: August 31.
Award Notification: Decisions will be announced at the HJAM Annual Year-End Banquet.

Acceptance of the HJAM Grant

Once announced, recipients must contact huntsover1@gmail.com with their school details. Funds are awarded directly to the institution.
