Our Mission

The Hunter-Jumper Association of Michigan is organized for the purpose of:

To promote the sport of horsemanship through the sanctioning and sponsoring of hunter and jumper competitions.
To promote rider safety, provide proper care of our equine partners, and promote good sportsmanship.
To support the rules of the USEF and HJAM.
To maintain proper records relating to HJAM-recognized show dates.
To publish information pursuant to the rules and specifications, show conduct or general interest.
Pursuant to the provisions of the Association's Certificate of Incorporation, to receive, manage, and deal with monies, securities and other property intended for charitiable education purposes.
To adjudicate questions or violations of the rules and specifications of HJAM, and when necessary, to impose penalties in accordance with those rules and specifications.
